The 12th Carpathian Logistics Congress CLC 2024 took place in Cracow on November 28 - 29, 2024. Almost 50 participants from 5 countries listened to 8 lectures and viewed 18 posters.

The congress was organized under the patronage of the Prof. Ph.D. engineer Jerzy Lis, Rector of the AGH University of Krakow.

The conference was opened by Prof. Jerzy Feliks from AGH University of Krakow. After the opening ceremony started the first plenary lecture by Professor Lech Bukowski. His lecture was about Logistics 5.0: Towards effective collaboration between human and artificial intelligence in supply chains. The second plenary lecture was given by Jacek Kaleta, Ph.D. from company Samat Poland. The lecture dealt with implementation of a dynamic IRP model for the optimization of the LPG routing and delivery process to gas stations. Third invited lecutre was given by Marek Karkula from AGH University of Krakow and his lecture was: AI Artificial Intelligence and IT in Transport Management: Theory and Practical Guide to Opportunities and Challenges. The last plenary lecture of the CLC 2024 congress was given by Bartosz Józefowski from Krakow Technology Park. The lecture introduced dual use aspects of accelerated tech solutions for the needs of defence and security where Krakow Technology Park and the AGH University together cooperated.

However, the thematic scope of the lectures at the conference was traditionally much broader. Researchers presented innovations not only in strategic, production and business logistics, supply chains and networks, distribution and transport, but also in quality management and risk management.

The prize for the best poster has been awarded to ROBERT GIEL, SYLWIA WERBIŃSKA-WOJCIECHOWSKA, KLAUDIA WINIARSKA from Wrocław University of Science and Technology, Poland, EU. Topic: Risk management in logistics: Digital Twins and their role in operational threat assessment.

The next 13th CLC congress will take place on December 2 - 4, 2025 in Kúpele Piešťany, Slovakia.
